The Mo-ha lost 49-46 in week 1 to JK, and then made
what seemed to be a minor move: The picked up St Louis
QBs after a three TD performance. The intention was
for them to use them as a back-up QB. However, after three weeks, it was
clear the Mo-ha that Kurt Warner was no mere back-up. Week 3 was a pivotal
week. St Louis out scored Seattle (Mo-ha's starter) 24-0. Mo-ha lost to
Outlaw 40-22 and left 50 points on the pine. That was also the week that
Terrell Davis went down - out for the season. The leagues' number 1 pick was
lost, but the league's MVP was discovered on the pine.
With St Louis in command and with a one back, four WR offense, the Mo-ha
went on a tear. scoring 59 and then 77 points and eventually wining five
of the next six. A critical loss occured in week 10 when CZ beat them using
Mo-ha's old starting QB, Seattle. The loss seemed to take some of the steam
out of the Mo-ha. They lost in week 11 to Barry. In week 12, they got even
with JK in a sloppy 31-29 game where Jk left many points in the pine. A
loss to Peil in week 13 turned the entire East upside down. Thanks to the
boatload of midseason points, the Mo-ha were never in danger of missing
playoffs. However, they needed a win and a JK win in week 14 to get in
as a division winner rather than a points qualifier. They got it,
but just barely, holding Barry's QB scoreless on a Monday night.
In the playoffs, they were matched with rival JK. However, it was not
as close this time as they won comfortably 56-45. However the season
ended the following week by nearly the same score, but it was Best on the winning
end.
